If you have a question about your own setup, or a device you’re stuck on, write to me. I read every message that comes in.

What’s worth writing about
You don’t need a reason, but these are the messages I’m most useful on:
- A device you’re stuck on. Setup that won’t complete, a cat that’s refusing a new box, an app that keeps dropping, a feeder that’s behaving oddly.
- A buying decision. Tell me the shape of your household — how many cats, whether anyone’s home during the day, whether anyone’s on a strict diet, how nervous they are, and what your budget actually is. Those details change the recommendation more than any feature list does, and without them any answer I give is a guess.
- A correction. If something on this site is wrong, out of date, or contradicts what a current model actually does, I want to know so I can fix the page. This is the most valuable email you can send me, and it’s covered in the editorial policy.
- Something I should cover. If you keep running into a question nobody has answered properly, that’s usually a sign it’s worth a guide.
- Privacy and your data. Requests to see, export or delete data this site holds about you come here too — see the privacy policy.
Two honest notes before you write
I’m not a vet. If your question is about your cat’s health, diet restrictions, or behaviour that worries you, please talk to your vet rather than me — they can examine your cat, and I can’t. That boundary is set out in full on the disclaimer page, and it’s the one thing I won’t bend on, even when I’d like to help. If your cat is in distress, contact your vet or an emergency animal hospital now.
Coverage isn’t for sale. If you’re writing on behalf of a brand: no recommendation, rating, or placement on CatVerge is available for purchase, and that isn’t a negotiating position. If you’d like a product considered for testing, say so plainly — any device provided that way gets disclosed inside the guide it appears in, and it buys honest coverage rather than kind coverage. The full position is on the affiliate disclosure page.
Helping me help you
For setup and troubleshooting questions, the details that usually matter:
- The exact model, and roughly how long you’ve had it
- How many cats use it, and their rough size and temperament
- Which litter or food you’re running in it
- What you’ve already tried
- What the device does, versus what you expected it to do
That’s usually the difference between a general answer and a useful one.
